Abstract red and white animation projected across a dark building facade at night.

Dobranocka dla Robotów

Kinomural, Wrocław (PL), 2024

Dobranocka dla Robotów (Bedtime for Robots) is an abstract animation showing what kind of cartoons robots could watch before going to bed. Of course, many of them — like thermomixes or smart vacuum cleaners — don’t have eyes or ears; my animation is a visualisation of the stream of data that small robots watch before brushing their teeth and going to bed.

The work takes on additional value shown on a large wall: flashing colours and shapes combined with music provide a hypnotic trip lasting less than two and a half minutes. The contrasting colours in the various animations are chosen to naturally stimulate the production of afterimages in the eyes of the audience.
